Venice in pictures

Now it is not the right time to visit Venice.

It is best to wait when the schools start and part of the tourists are gone. Venice is being destroyed by tourism and flooding.

More tourists means less residents, therefore the city identity is lost, too many convenience stores are replaced by tourists souvenirs shops.

The climate change is also responsible for Venice flooding.

These are pictures taken off season some time ago, because Venice is always so photogenic.

In the fall I’ll visit again. Till than.

I lived the most part of my life in Washington DC, now in Italy getting to know again my country. Plenty of surprises, for good and bad, and lots of nostalgia for DC.
