For all those “I Don’t know what to cook” moments…
I think we all have those moments, maybe even the great chefs have them.
Usually the spaghetti garlic, oil, and hot pepper solve a hot meal adequately. Eventually we can solve it with the “let’s get a pizza“ moment.

But aside from those solutions, when we are in no mood to cook at all, not even some spaghetti; Italian Cuisine lends itself nicely to solve those moments with lots of ready-to-the-table products.
Every Italian Supermarket has a deli counter, with lots of delicatessen to help any customer to come up with a decent impromptu meal. The cold meat section offers a vast array of prosciutto and other cold cuts, plus a multitude of cheeses, from the fresh mozzarella, to the seasoned ones.

A fresh and crunchy ciabatta loaf and some grilled vegetables–to add a little healthy side–plus a selection of precooked or cured meats sliced and served cold, is a good and tasty solution for a quick lunch.
That doesn’t mean that hamburghers joints and McDonald are negletted by Italians. There are more and more of those too.
