There Goes the Second Spring

So here is another Spring season that we can only admire from the window, in the privacy of our homes.

As of today, March 15th, Italy is (almost) all in Code Red, meaning a total lockdown. Once again stores are totally closed, except the strictly necessary ones; supermarkets, pharmacies, and a few other businesses considered essential.

I would like to be positive about it, but after a year I admit to a certain fatigue. But that is why I chose a different Code Red in my pictures today. Just a hint of positivity for all of us locked in once again.

I’m running out of ideas, and creativity. I’m even out of choices of my Netflix list of movies to watch. Unfortunately even the”… when it will be over …” attitude is starting to exhaust.

I have a harrowing feeling of dissipating a year again.

But then this new wave of COVID seems to be particularly nasty and it is hitting home too.

So why am I whining?

I lived the most part of my life in Washington DC, now in Italy getting to know again my country. Plenty of surprises, for good and bad, and lots of nostalgia for DC.
