Stop and… Look at the Sky

Maybe I was too busy before and never paid the proper attention, but now that life suddenly slowed down a lot, I just noticed how blue the sky is.

Maybe because the air traffic diminished considerably, and so did the land transportation, the industry and power generation, shipping and aviation during the lockdown.

That for sure, plus we found ourselves with more time in our hands; all the time we spent before in socialisation, running around–sometimes unnecessarily–now it is free time for other things.

Funny that before some good quotes where just for the latest coffe mug, not really for us to follow up on it:

“Most people didn’t see the beauty behind the everyday, didn’t enjoy the simple pleasures in life,
didn’t stop and smell the roses …”

“Change the way you think and you will enjoy every moment of life”

Well, it seems we got our opportunity to change the way we think and see life!

I lived the most part of my life in Washington DC, now in Italy getting to know again my country. Plenty of surprises, for good and bad, and lots of nostalgia for DC.
