A recent survey identified which traditional Italian dishes are the most Instagrammed.
Each time I open Instagram, I can see clearly how much Italian 🇮🇹 food occupies a place of considerable importance in our diets and lifestyle.
Not everything can end on our Social profile; there is a need to catch the eye with color, creativity, and constant presence. The results are excellent since the level of gastronomic posts is quite remarkable.

Some restaurateurs have guessed and ridden this trend quite successfully, engaging professional photographers that produce some very appealing images.
But even amateurs create very intersting images, overcoming the challenges of food photography in ordinary kitchens, such as the not too rare prospect that a hot dish gets cold. And in photography it shows!
Adding creativity and little adventurousness, playing with good light, paying attention to the plate, the napkin, and even the table settings.
Following are the most tagged (#) dishes from our Italian kitchens (well, not just Italian kitchens!).

Find out who wins the first prize:
Pasta Alla Carbonara, a great Italian dish that many tourists have the opportunity to know during their travels in our country, boasts over 92K hashtags;
Even if the presentation is often not super photogenic, Parmigiana conquers as many as 293K hashtags;
For some, it will be a surprise; Porchetta, with its 295K hashtags, gets near the top five;
Lasagna Alla Bolognese; lasagna conquers the hearts of all of us and even the vegetarian hearts, with the meatless version, with 986K hashtags;
Second place goes to the Risotto, which with its numerous interpretations boasts over 3 million mentions in the hashtags world of Instagram. I did make my good contribution of Instagram posts, myself;
But the Oscar goes to Pizza always at the top of all rankings; Italian Pizza, the symbol of our culinary tradition, boasts over 86 million hashtags.
